This office provides assistance and advice to veterans and their dependents in obtaining veterans benefits. The Placer County Veteran's Service Officer is John Melrose.  His office is co-located at 1000 Sunset Blvd, Suite 115, Rocklin, CA, telephone 916-780-3290, office hours are 8-12 and 1-5pm.   www.placer.ca.gov/departments/veteran.aspx.  The facility is located on the South West corner of the intersection of Sunset Blvd. & Lone Tree.

The American Legion Department of California has an American Legion Service Officer stationed at the Mather VA Hospital to help all veterans. If you need assistance in filing a claim or processing an appeal this Service Officer can help.   His office hours are 9 am to 3 PM, Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays.
