each month on the first Thursday
at Veteran's Memorial Hall, 110 Park Drive (Royer
Park) Roseville, CA 95678.

Meetings start promptly at 7:00 PM, with a social hour
at 6 PM. Please come join us.

Post and Auxiliary Unit Executive Meetings are
held on the third Thursday of each month starting at
7:00 PM at the Veterans Memorial Hall, 110 Park Drive
(Royer Park) Roseville. All Post/Unit members are
invited and are encouraged to attend.
Our Post has been active in Roseville since 1928.
We have several multi-generational members. We
welcome any member of the American Legion, VFW,
Vietnam Veterans of America, or any veteran to join us
for any meeting. Please drop by and say hello.
Post 169 Update APRIL 2012
May 3rd meeting is the second nominations and election of
officers.
May 19, Armed Forces Day BUFFET / DANCE, Saturday, May 19,
2012, 7:00pm to 10:00pm, at Roseville Veterans Memorial
Hall, 110 Park Drive, Roseville.
Music by Mike Branson (formerly with the Drifters). VFW,
American Legion or Military members and their spouses or guests
FREE. Most have appropriate Id. All others $10.00 per
person. Enjoy an evening of good food, no host bar, great
entertainment, and drawings. Sponsored by Roseville VFW Post
1487 and American Legion Post #169. For more

Our Post 169, was selected to staff the three beer booth
concession at the NASCAR Races at All American Speedway, Placer
County Fair Grounds in Roseville. This is a great fund
raiser for our Post but requires help from members. We have to
have enough members to staff the three booths (for two shifts
2-6PM and 6-10PM) on 5 Saturdays, May 5, 12, 19 & 26 and

May 28 American Legion Post 169 is hosting this years Memorial
Day Ceremony at the Roseville Community Cemetery on Memorial
Day, May 28, 2012 from 1030 - 1200 hrs. Light refreshments
to be served at the Roseville Veterans Memorial Hall following
the ceremony.
The Post received an overwhelming response from our membership
for providing their email addresses. We now have 148
email addresses that we can use instead of mailing hard copies
of our newsletter. However, that still leaves us a
total of 345 mailings (including the Post and Aux). This
is a considerable saving to our printing and mailing costs.
